When I retired after 31+ years of teaching, my family gave me a balloon ride as a retirement present.  After 3 cancellations - once too much wind, once not enough wind and a major lightning storm for the third, I finally lifted off on September 21.  The view of Calgary from a hot air balloon is tremendous.  It was really interesting to see familiar landmarks from a different perspective.  I highly recommend a balloon ride if you get the chance.
