bullet Sep 23, 2004: Aunt Pauline Passes Away
My aunt Pauline passed away on September 23.  The funeral was held in Swift Current on September 30.  I gave the eulogy for my aunt.

bullet Sep 22, 2004: A New Retaining Wall
The retaining wall on my property had a slight crack in it when I bought my hose over 25 years ago.  Over the years, the crack worsened and the wall started to lean.  The City of Calgary finally forced me to replace it.  It took nearly two months but it is finally done.

When I retired after 31 years of teaching, my immediate family gave me a hot air balloon ride as a retirement gift.  It was an awesome ride and I got some great pictures.

bullet Aug 12, 2004: Miss Avery Does Calaway Park
Kathryn and I took Avery to Calaway Park for the Day.  She was so well behaved even when we had to wait in line for many of the rides.

bullet July 22, 2004: Miss Avery Turns Two
My goddaughter Avery Grace turned two today.  I have started taking a picture of her in my arms every year on her birthday.  I don't know what I'll do when she is 18 - and I'm 71.  I will have some new photos of her soon.

bullet July 10, 2004: Stampede Breakfast
I attended Miss Avery's Stampede breakfast today - okay her mom and dad helped a little bit.

bullet July 10, 2004: Day at the Stampede
Kathryn was on a shopping trip to Seattle with friends, so I jumped on a bus (just in case I had one too many beers) and went down to the Stampede.  I ran into my niece Tara and her friend Brian at the rodeo and we ducked into Nashville North beer tent to get out of the sudden rain shower.  Although I haven't been drinking much lately, I found out I can still put back the odd Budweiser (and most of the even ones).

bullet July 3, 2004: Hail in July
Our house was hit with a big hail storm on July 3.  Although the hailstones were not very large, there was a tremendous amount of rain which formed a river on my front sidewalk .
bullet May 23, 2004: Aunt Lil's 75th Birthday Party
Many relatives gathered in Moose Jaw on the May long weekend to celebrate Auntie Lil's 75th birthday.
